Haim Bourekas

Haim Bourekas is a legendary Bourekas shop in Shapira neighborhood which was founded about 50 years ago and been making Bulgarian style bourekas in various forms. The bakery is also known as Haim Sosiel bourekas as the name of the owners and baker which founded the place and been operating it ever since. You can find on the shop bourekas with various fillings like spinach and cheese (usually a big bourekas) feta cheese filling, pizza style bourekas with tomato sauce, olive and cheese and more. The dough which is made to make the pastries is something between the Turkish Pilas and puff pastry, all made with margarine as the traditional Jews use to make it in the old days.
