Abouelafia Bakery is a renowned institution in Jaffa, perhaps the most veteran bakery in all of Tel-aviv, that is still working today.
The bakery was founded in 1879, by the Abulafia family and during the years became one of the symbols of Jaffa and a symbol of coexistence between Jews and Arabs.
You can find on the bakery a variety of oriental pastries, the most famous is the Beygale (pretzel) with salt and sesame or the pita with Zaatar which is the trademark of Arab street bread.
There is a variety of bread options, fresh baked Pita, Sambusak (similar to a calzone) with various fillings, pizza and more.
The bakery is open 24/7 so you can drop by even in the middle of the night.
