Basel Congress

Basel Congress is an Israeli Restaurant that serves a variety of Israeli street food with a big attitude, a fact that makes this place a real culinary gem in this part of the city. In this restaurant you have all the Israeli classics, schnitzel in  a pita, Shawarma, in a laffa, pita or in a plate (comes in a few sizes), Kebab and more. The food is not the main attraction though, the Basel Congress is associated with the Maccabi Tel-aviv soccer team club so it's only natural that the other major team fans in the city (Hapoel Tel-aviv) are not gladly accepted or at least will be in a minority here. The sign hanged on top says it all, "the customer is always wrong" and this sums up the attitude part which is exceptional in restaurants but it is with good vibes and a smile.
